A School Called Planet Earth: The Roles We Play

[This article is the beginning of a series of articles exploring how our spiritual path, the pursuit of Self-Realization, extraterrestrial intelligence, Mother Earth’s ascension, and the global changes of creating Heaven on Earth are interwoven. I will share with you how each of us is on the right track in creating a better world for our children and our children’s children.]

 

On my blog, I’ve written about how our perceptions and choices create our reality in Our School Called Planet Earth . I wrote about how each of us has free choice and free will to do what ever we want in this lifetime in The Ripple Effects of Kindness: One Drop at a Time. We can choose the light or the darkness. We can choose to be happy or sad, inspirational or be a little stinker to someone. We can decide once and for all, to be healed of our past experiences and perceptions. This can be accomplished through whatever healing modality presents itself to us in the most Divine timing and manner, tailored for us.

 

Many of us grew up in the United States with the perception of taking things personal, with an “us versus them” perception about life. We grew up in a society of wars; the Korean War, the Vietnam War, The Persian Gulf War, The Afghanistan War, and the Cold War. We were not told we humans are here helping one another learn and process our lessons, by playing roles. If you were like me, you had to experience hard lessons in your life, in order to become the person you are today.

I have said this before, and I’d like to say it again, there is much more going on than what is shown to us on the surface. I would like to share this true story with you, to illustrate this point.

Just before my first Reiki I class and attunement, I went to the busy post office near my work. I walked up to the “number” dispenser and tore off the piece of paper with a number on it for my position to be called by the next available post office representative at the counter. With my arms crossed, I held the little piece of paper in my hand, buried in the place between my arm and my side. The waiting line was long because it was the Christmas season. I observed how people were moving in the line and stepping forward to a spot that meant one was ready to be called next to the counter. When it was my turn to take that “next” spot, I moved to it. An older man who was standing near the back of the line, approached me and said, “I didn’t see you take a number.” I did not move my crossed arms. I stood there for a moment and replied, “Well, that is your problem.” At the time, I thought it was odd that this man was monitoring me and felt it was his duty or job to make sure I had a number and the right to be in the next position and to be served at the counter. I did not feel that I had to prove my position in line, after all, I waited just like everyone else. If the man had approached me and shared with me a legitimate reason to be served quickly and asked if he could take my place, I would have granted his request. This was Christmas, where it was my perception that granting courtesies for each other goes a long way to reduce the stresses of the holidays. However, my mindset was that this man was challenging me in some way, for some reason.

It was after I learned years later, that everything happens for us, not to us. I learned we are here helping one another learn lessons in loving ourselves and loving others. I learned we all come from the same Source, a state of Oneness, of one consciousness, and we come to Earth and play roles for each other. The role the man at the post office played for me was a lesson in standing up for myself, speaking my truth, and to ultimately see that he gave up his kind and peaceful state of being-ness, to become the “room monitor” for me, in order for me to learn the lesson of Self Love. Instead of perceiving him as someone who was trying to intimidate me, I now see the immense amount of love he, as a soul, as a spirit, has for me. I am forever grateful for the lesson he helped me to learn, even though I did not completely appreciate is at the time. This was his Christmas gift to me. I understand that there is more to this interaction in terms of learning and loving one another on a humanitarian level. This is just the tip of the iceberg, as Dr. James Martin Peebles would say.

I am sharing this story with you because I will refer to it in a later article to help you understand the underlying truth in the behaviors and roles people play for each other, under other circumstances.

In this series about this school called planet Earth, we will be looking at the lies and hidden truths kept from us, and what it is going to take for us to create Heaven on Earth. I will give you references to explore the concepts further, if you so choose. I have been studying these concepts for some time, and I have come to understand what is truth versus what is lie, by checking in with my Higher Self and the physical sensation confirmations my body receives. I’m not here to convince you to change your beliefs or your mind. Rather, I prefer to give you the information, so you can determine and discern the truth for yourself. I must share with you, the truth may very well make you angry at first, and then it will set you free. The fact that you are here, and alive on earth is proof that you are participating in creating a better world. The wheel of Self Love is in motion, and it’s up to us to make the change we want to see in the world.
