Long Distance Healing Part IV: Through Books

We touched upon the long distance healing that can be transmitted through our phones, E-mail messages, and computer technology, in the previous three articles. In the last article of this series, we will look at long distance healing through the books we touch and read.

The information and healing energy in books can be transformative for us. Remember in Part I, I mentioned healing energies are not confined to one particular space or time. Well, this holds true for books too. The energy transmitted in books is very interesting to me. I’ll share with you why this is my opinion.

Back in 2004, when I was visiting my sister in California, shortly after she gave birth to her daughter, I received an attunement by dolphins! This download occurred while I was reading Linda Shay’s book, Dolphin Love, From Sea To Land. Linda Shay is a dolphin ambassador and she trains practitioners all over the world, in dolphin energy healing, through her service known as Dolphin Heart World. While I was reading, my third eye opened and I saw dolphins on each side of my head, adjacent to my ears. All of a sudden they started “swimming” through my brain in a figure eight (infinity symbol) formation, and then circling around my head. My whole head vibrated and moved rapidly back and forth as I entered into an altered state of consciousness. This is when I met my dolphins, Phyllis and Myrtle. Just reading Linda’s story, I received a powerful healing and attunement to the dolphin energy. I have since then worked with the dolphin energy in my healing sessions with people.

During a Reiki share, (a group of Reiki practitioners stand around the Reiki table while giving 15 minute Reiki sessions to each other.) my third eye opened and I saw the room fill up with water. Then I saw my two dolphins swimming in a figure eight pattern in and out of the person on the table, right through the heart! When the dolphins completed their healing, the water level lowered down to the floor. One of the practitioners was a 12 year-old boy. When we finished all the sessions, we stood in a circle of prayer and gratitude. The boy announced, “There are dolphins here!” I replied, “Yes! They are here.”  This was my first confirmation that the dolphins are indeed working with me to help heal people. I share more stories of my dolphins in my book, Enclosure: A Spiritual Autobiography. Dolphins are amazing beings and healers!

There are books on the market that people have read and received a miracle healing. One such book is Science and Health With Keys To The Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, first published in 1875. It has a 119 year history of healing and inspiration. There are testimonials in the back of the book where people were cured of vision loss and body pain, by the time they finished reading the book, for example. I read this book specifically to improve my eyesight to where I no longer need eyeglasses. I did not receive a miracle healing, however, this does not mean the next person would not.

I’m reading another book with eye exercises in it. Within three months, my eyesight has improved significantly and I’m having moments of 20/20 vision. And just like other healing modalities that take time and repeated sessions, I’m committed to continue the exercises for the rest of my life. Performing the exercises are equivalent to brushing your teeth or taking a daily shower or bath. You do it for your health.

There are books that are filled with inspirational true stories of the human condition. One such book is Lori S. Rubenstein’s, Forgiveness: Heal Your Past and Find the Peace You Deserve. With heart-felt true stories and wisdom from the enlightened masters, Lori shares with the reader insights that have the ability to evoke personal miraculous healing. When you read how people have forgiven the unforgivable, you are transformed inside, with love and understanding. Lori’s book truly changes our perspective of the old programming we’ve been given earlier in our life. While reading Forgiveness, I received a beautiful healing regarding a family dog from my childhood. I had repressed this memory. I shed my tears in a ceremony to God, and released the hidden guilt I carried for over 40 years, within fifteen minutes. I was not expecting the wonderful gift of healing from Lori’s work.

We can heal our bodies with affirmations in Louise Hay’s book, Heal Your Body. This is one of the first metaphysical books I purchased in the 1990s and I still have it. I just recently purchased the app form of it for my smart phone. It’s a handy reference I keep at my side to help clients in their struggles with ailments. Louise was able to heal her body from cancer with affirmations.

My book, Enclosure: A Spiritual Autobiography, is filled with examples of healing through Reiki, Jin Shin Jystsu®, shamanic meditations, ceremony and healing sessions, and others. There are times when a person will read a book, see a reference, and be guided to seek out that form of treatment. The journey in my book is about my personal transformation from viewing myself as just a human being, to discovering we are more than this physical form. We all have brought gifts of healing to planet Earth. For those like myself, the journey has been finding the courage to face ourselves, and see the powerful being we truly are. For many, acknowledging the truth about ourselves, is just too much to grasp. Like peeling the layers of an onion, I stripped away all the old programs, wounds, untruths, and self loathing, to find the inner pearl of Divinity that was always there to begin with. We are the Beloved, not separate. We are One. And I’m still working on it!

Despite the mainstream media news broadcasts and articles would have us believe humanity is in a downward spiral, the world is becoming a better place to live. Together, we, of like mind, based in love, compassion, and forgiveness, are creating Heaven on Earth. Always remember, your healing is changing you and everyone on Mother Earth, to a global consciousness of unity and love.
