Love

My favorite subject, my favorite healing form, my favorite word, my favorite feeling; Love.

On the levels of consciousness scale by David R. Hawkins, in his book, Power vs. Force, the level of Love is when we are vibrating at 500. What is love? Love is many things and concepts, depending on who is speaking about it. Love can be a sweet smile. Love can be a butterfly flittering by as you take a deep breath. Love can be a helping hand to someone in need. As we transcend the scale, we are now experiencing a form of existence where we are passionate about what contribution we are making to society. Our service is coming from the heart. We love being who we are and we see our place in the world from our soul purpose, as part of the Oneness. Our intentions are pure and free from the ego.

At the level of love, we finally have the ability to let go of what no longer serves us. We see that each of us has the spark of the Divine within and that we truly are made up of love. This love is the unconditional form that we come from and exist in multiple dimensions, in multiple forms. We can feel we are living our life purpose because everything we need is given, everything that needs to be solved, is taken care of, one way or another. Our compassion for ourselves and others is the driving force within. It’s what springs us out of bed in the morning, eager to be of assistance for humanity.

At the level of love, we love ourselves, unconditionally. We no longer see our flaws as something detractive, rather, they are a confirmation that this is who we are. We speak our truth. We love others to the point that if the other person no longer wants to be with us, we let them go. We would never consider holding them “hostage” from a neediness in ourselves. We love others who become angry with us, because we understand they are growing spiritually. We appreciate everything and expect nothing from others, in terms of “what’s in it for me”. We give freely and we manifest quickly and easily. There is a Divine flow in our life, and it feels good. We are grateful for everyone and every experience in our lives, past, present and future. We bless people at every opportunity through our words and actions.

At the level of love, we are conscious of other’s feelings. We are cognizant of our behavior and hesitate to cause discomfort in someone else. This hesitation is based in consideration, respect, and love for the other person, animal, and other life forms. We feel the other person’s pain as our pain, their joy as our joy. We want the best for everyone, because when they are successful, happy, and prosperous, they are a reflection of us, and we too, are successful, joyful and flowing in abundance. Your intuition becomes very strong and you can rely on your inner guidance instantaneously. Hawkins claims this level is reached only by 1 in 250 people during their entire lifetimes, however, it’s my opinion that as the veil between the dimensions is thinning to transparency, and the energies from the higher amount of global consciousness of love and compassion, it is much easier for people to reach the level of love and live a life so blessed.

I have pondered about love for a very long time. From my book, Enclosure: A Spiritual Autobiography, during a trance channeling by Summer Bacon, of Cottonwood, Arizona, I shared with the spirit known as Dr. James Martin Peebles, about the time I was seven years old, until the age of forty-seven, I would sit by myself, close my eyes, and imagine nothing is here, not even the planets, the universe, angels, me, not even God, nothing. And then I would say to myself, there is no such thing as nothing. It gave me the heebie-jeebies. When I asked Dr. Peebles about this meditation, the split second before he spoke, the answer popped into my head. This space of pure potentiality I was pondering was love. There is really no such thing as nothing. The absence of light is not the darkness. It’s the fertile soil. Dr. Peebles said it was not the absence of light, but where we plant our very being and grow.

Several years later, I shared with Dr. Peebles that I took the meditation one step further. What if there is no love? Is this possible? He replied, “It’s impossible. The best you can do is hold it at arm’s length. But the truth is, love never disappears entirely. We can squash it as small as we can, but there will always be a grain of sand on the shore of love. This is the truth.”

Blessings and love,
