In the first two articles of this series we covered how to know when you’re ready for a QHHT® session, and where to find a practitioner. In this article we will cover the client preparation for a QHHT® session. On my website I have a page dedicated to QHHT® and preparing for a session. Relaxing and meditating…

The first recommendation is slowing down and taking the time to meditate. This can be done at any time of the day. You choose what works best for you. If you have a daily meditation practice using meditation music or visualization recordings, add on quiet time, separate from your meditation practice, to sit or lay still focusing on your breath. Hypnosis is relaxation. 

Just watch the air go in and out of your lungs. If you find any area of your body holding tension, just imagine the tension is melting away like butter in the sun. Then, return your attention to your breath. If a thought comes into your mind, let it come, let it go, as if you’re watching a leaf floating down a stream. Return your focus to your breath. Doing this meditation for five minutes a day will train your body to relax. The body remembers.

What to wear…

You will want to wear comfortable clothing for your hypnosis session. Nothing restrictive like tight belts or tight waistline pants. Layer your clothing so you can be comfortably warm with a light jacket or sweater during the interview. Talking while sitting doesn’t generate much heat in our bodies. Bring or wear a pair of clean socks. I ask my clients not to wear perfume or cologne, however, its okay to wear deodorant and non-oily hair products, and a light application of aromatherapy that you normally use. 

Medications and breakfast…

Take your regular prescribed medications and herbal supplements. Bring the list of your medications including the name and the dosage for your practitioner. Eat a good breakfast. You can have coffee or tea with breakfast. After breakfast, begin drinking water. We want you well hydrated for your session. The water in your body provides the vehicle for the transmission of energy and information from the Higher Self.

Some don’ts…

Do not take any alcoholic beverages or mind altering drugs the night before or the morning of your session. Do not begin juicing, fasting or detoxing prior to your session. QHHT® is a natural modality and we want you in your natural state. After your session, do not plan on going out shopping, dancing, partying, group gatherings such as birthday parties or yoga classes. QHHT® sessions are powerful and transformative. It’s best to go home or to the hotel or AirBnB, to rest and allow the energies to integrate. After a good night’s sleep, you’ll be fine to meet the world the next day. It’s not unusual for my clients who have had a lot of healing during the session, to sleep ten to thirteen hours the night after their session. The Higher Self is still busy at work healing the client.

If you become sick with a head cold virus the night before or the morning of your session, I recommend you don’t have a session. Call the practitioner and ask to postpone your session to when you’re feeling well. We don’t want you to be uncomfortable during the hypnosis with sneezing, coughing and a runny nose. 

Your Questions…

In the days before your session you will need to write down your questions. The typical number of questions is ten to twenty. It will depend upon the practitioner, because more questions can be added during the interview when you’re with your practitioner. Write your questions on paper. You can type them on your computer and print them out. I ask my clients to bring their questions with them on paper. They don’t need to send the questions to me ahead of time. Some practitioners prefer you do. Just check with the practitioner who will be facilitating your session. 

If you can’t come up with questions, this is not a problem. During the interview the client and practitioner can come up with questions before the hypnosis. It could be while you’re telling your life story, a memory will pop into your mind. This could be identified as something you’d like to explore. That experience can be added to your questions. It is also possible your questions will change by the time of your session. Perhaps you are already receiving the answers. That’s okay, just come up with different questions. The Higher Self doesn’t use clocks, watches or calendars. They start working on your questions right away. For instance, one of my clients lost his job. He wanted to make sure his next job is in alignment with his soul path (contracts and agreements). By the time of his session, three weeks later, he had three job offers. Now, the question changed to, “Which job?”

Intention…

Setting the intention for your session is a powerful enhancement that works. An affirmation that you have a good, clear connection with your Higher Self can be said out loud and silently, throughout the day, in the days and weeks prior to your session. 

Expectations…

Arrive to your QHHT® session without expectations. No expectations is the key ingredient to an awesome experience! While we have intentions, expectations can cause blocking. To help you understand how this works, the next time you go to a group gathering or any other place outside your home, clear your mind of any expectations of who you will meet, and what will happen. Just be present in the now and enjoy the moment. You will find joy in this way of being and it will help you to have no expectations during your session.

Call or e-mail your QHHT practitioner for any concerns or questions that might come up before the day of your session. We want you to be comfortable and stress free.
